Italian brand De Tomaso have been famous for a Pantera sports car, but the brand has disappeared in the early 90s. Recently, De Tomaso declared reborn in Geneva Motor Show, and introduced a concept car called the Deauville.
Deauville was a De Tomaso saloon car in the 70’s, the Deauville introduced this time is a hybrid car, the body outline is similar to the saloon car, ground clearance is much higher than in ordinary cars, a bit similar to the BMW 5 GT or the X6’s style. Despite the absence of any shadow in appearance, but this car is built in the Cadillac platform. Into the car we will find, instrument panel, center console and steering wheel are all Cadillac products.
The car has two power options, one 550-horsepower V8, another is a 300-horsepower 2.8-liter V6 turbocharged engine. Both engines are expected from the Cadillac CTS-V and SRX. Four-wheel-drive system is optional, the car’s 0-100km / h acceleration time is expected to be within 6.7 seconds.
De Tomaso said, Deauville is expected to put into production, annual production expected in 4000.
